Orleans Winter Tire Changeover: Your 2026 Checklist

With extra appointment availability in Orleans this season, HeronTire is making it easier than ever for Chapel Hill, Fallingbrook, Convent Glen, and Queenswood Heights residents to get their winter tires on before the first cold snap. Here’s how to get ready.

Before Your Appointment

  • Locate your winter tire set. If they’re in the garage or shed, make sure they’re accessible — no need to drag them out yourself, but our technician will need to reach them.
  • Check they’re on rims. We only service tires already mounted on rims.
  • Clear driveway space. A flat, accessible spot to work is all we need — no special setup required.
  • Note any issues. If you noticed a slow leak, vibration, or pulling last season, mention it when you book so we can take a closer look while we’re there.

What Happens During the Appointment

  1. We arrive in your Orleans driveway within your booked window
  2. Swap all four tires, torquing lug nuts to manufacturer spec
  3. Top up air pressure to spec on all tires
  4. Inspect tread wear on both sets so you know what to expect next season
  5. Check brake pad wear and clean surface rust off the hub
  6. Relearn TPMS sensors if your vehicle has them
  7. Done in about 30 minutes

Why Orleans Specifically?

Orleans has become one of our busiest service areas. That means if you’re in Chapel Hill, Fallingbrook, Convent Glen, Avalon, Notting Hill, or Blackburn Hamlet, you’ll typically find more open appointment slots here than in other parts of the city, especially during the October–November rush.

Book Early

The 7°C overnight-low rule usually puts Ottawa’s switch window in mid-to-late October — but Orleans slots fill quickly once the season starts. Book your appointment now to lock in a time that fits your schedule.
